The Masters in Finance (MiF) offers thorough and focused training in finance and is aimed at people who have worked in the sector for a minimum of two and an average of five years, and who wish to advance their careers. MiF students may take this programme in order to deepen their existing financial knowledge, or to move into a different role in the industry.
You have the option to take the MiF on a full- or part-time basis for 10–16 or 22 months respectively.

No. The MFA is a dynamic, full-time programme involving high-level class input and discussion. Classes typically run from 08.45–17.00, Monday to Friday.

365体育网站A year-long project is a programme requirement. There are at least four broad topics to choose from and you have some choice in how to focus your discussion. This piece of work can be brought to interviews, worked on throughout the year and practised to fine-tune your presentation skills.
The Masters in Financial Analysis (MFA) is aimed at recent graduates and early career professionals with up to two years of relevant work experience. You should be committed to a career in finance and have a strong quantitative skill set - gained through existing work experience or your degree.
365体育网站We accept strong undergraduate degrees (minimum 2:1) in a numerate discipline such as finance, accounting, economics, engineering, chemistry, physics, math, computer science and business and management or other proof of quantitative ability. You must complete your undergraduate degree prior to the start of the programme in September.
All students who apply for the MFA need at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent.

If you’ve lived in a non-English speaking country and/or your undergraduate degree wasn’t taught in English, you’re required to prove their English fluency through an English language speaking test. We recommend you take this when applying for the programme. If you apply without a test score, your application may still be reviewed.
Answers over the word limit will not be considered by the Admissions Committee. We look for concise, informative answers within the word limit that demonstrate your potential for success on the programme.

No we do not offer a waiver. However, if you have the CFA Level 1 completed, you don't need to provide GMAC/GRE results.

The School does not have any arrangements for students to transfer between its programmes or to/from a programme at another institution.

Only work experience gained post-graduation is considered towards the two-year limit requirement. Internships taken during your studies don’t count, even if you’ve done several.

We operate a rolling admissions process with staged deadlines. You are welcome to submit your application at any point during the admissions cycle. Recommended deadlines are there to help you focus on a date, but we recommend you apply as early as possible. The later you apply, the more competitive the process becomes.
If you have missed the final deadline, please get in touch with the Recruitment Team. We may still be accepting a few final applications. If so, they will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
We advise submitting one academic and one professional reference. It is crucial that you select referees who know you well and who can provide specific comments on your interactions within either the classroom or the workplace. Title is not as important as relationship. If you don’t have a professional referee, two academic ones will suffice. However, if you have work experience the Admissions Committee may question why a recommendation from a past employer has not been received.
365体育网站If your transcript is not in English you will need to provide a certified translation. A soft copy will be required at the application stage. Those applicants who are made an offer will be required to provide a hardcopy of both the English and original transcripts before the programme start date.
365体育网站Only test score reports (e.g.GRE, TOEFL) and transcripts from applicants will be accepted. All other documents that are sent via post will be discarded.
Tuition fees for the Masters in Financial Analysis 2020 intake will be £36,600.
There will be an additional payment of £7,500 for students electing to do the fourth term.
365体育网站Yes, you can pay in two instalments before the end of Term 1. The first instalment deadline is September, while the second is December. You can also pay in full when you start the programme.
LBS offers many financing options to support your graduate studies, including merit funds and bursaries. Each year around 20% of the Early Careers class receives funding from one of the School’s scholarships, which are supported by the School, alumni and external donors.

This is a full-time programme and we do not advise students to work during their degree due to the difficulty of juggling study, job applications and School activities with a part-time job.
LBS doesn’t provide student accommodation on campus. However, there are a number of places available exclusively to our students at accommodation halls around London. Details of these halls and how to apply are provided once you have received an offer for the programme.
